アフタヌーンテイ

ツアーには毎日１７時から日没まで海を眺めながらのアフタヌーンテイサービスがついていました。Daily afternoon tea service with an ocean view from 5pm to sunset was included in the tour.

利用しないなんてもったいないことはできません！There is no way I'd miss out on that!

外部の人もたったの！３００円でコーヒー、紅茶、パウンドケーキ、クッキーなどほっと一息いれながら夕陽を見ることができます。（もちろんおかわり自由です）Even non-residence guests can enjoy with just 300yen; coffee, tea, pound cake, cookies... a wonderful break watching the sun go down, and it's all-you-can-eat!

ＢＧＭもかかっていて、この日はスピーカーから流れる　エニグマの音楽が、日頃の喧騒を忘れさせてくれました。。。Some background music from the speakers, Enigma music, lets you forget your everyday worries...

ウブドのスパ

落ち着いた田園風景が人気のウブドですが、マッサージを施す、スパ激戦地区でも有ります。

Though it may be a popular country side spot, Ubud is actually a (very competitive) massage spa's area.

スパフリークの私は、今回も毎日通う気満々で安さ爆発の「サラ　spa」に行きましたが、あいにく予約でいっぱいで、今回は断念し、「zen」へo(＠＾◇＾＠)oワクワク　（サラスパは５００円）

My being a spa-freak, my intensions were to pay "Sala Spa" their usual visit but they were absolutely full with customers, so I agve up and tried out "zen" ("Sala Spa" was 500yen).

ヨーロッパや中国、もちろん日本の方にも人気。メニューもそれぞれ英語　日本語　中国語がありました。

Those from Europe, China, of course Japan, they all love it. So they have the menus in English, Japanese, and Chinese.

金魚の池の上に飛び石がありそこを渡っていきます。
There are step stones you need to walk across in the goldfish pond.

マッサージはやや高くて？一時間１０００円です。
The massage was a bit "expensive" at 1000yen per hour.
シャワー＆バスタブ付きの個室で開放感抜群

A relaxing time in a private room with shower&bathtub.

マッサージが終わると必ず、ジンジャーテイとフルーツが出てきます。
After massage, you'd be served Ginger tea and fruits.

レギャンビーチにて

レギャンビーチホテル前にてIn front of Legion Beach Hotel

　
潮が引くと砂浜が歩きやすい状態になり、（砂浜がひろ～～～くなります）地元の人々が、サッカーしたり、犬のお散歩にでたり。。。 When the tide pulls away, the beach shores become a perfect spot to have a walk (VERY vast), and the local people would play soccer, walk their dogs...

いいなあ。。。。how nice...

ウルワツのケチャ(kecak) ダンスショー

ケチャ(kecak) はウブドで鑑賞したことがありますが、初バリ友人のために１０００円払って送迎付ツアーに参加してきました。

I've seen kecak in Ubud before, but for my first-timer friend we payed 1000yen and got on a transport-included tour.

ところがこれがまたとても良いロケーション！

And the location!
バリ島の6大寺院の1つ、ウルワツ寺院でのショーはお勧めですよ。One of the biggest temples of the six in the Balinese-an Islands, Uluwats Temple. The show is a must-see ;)

夕映えの寺院と海と美しい空をみながらのケチャ(kecak) は最高でした。The sunset at the temple, beautiful skies, the kecak dance... it was wonderful!

ここには猿がたくさんいて、帽子を盗られた観光客がいました。

There were just so many monkeys here, a tourist actually had his hat stolen.

ウブド（バリ）でお買いもの

女性同士の海外旅行といったら。。。Two ladies on vacation...

お買い物ですよね～ Shopping, right?

着いた日の翌日はperama 社のシャトルバスで、ウブドの市場に繰り出しました。
The day after we arrived, we took the Perama Comp shuttle bus service to the market place in Ubud.

ここに並んでいるかごバック達は、日本に輸入されると７０００円～１００００円になります。These basket-purses you see here, on importing in Japan, the come to be worth 7000~10000yen.

はじめの向こう(お土産やさん）のいい値は２４００円でしたが、何度もやり取りして根性で The starting price at this souvenir shop was 2400yen, but I kept my bartering...

小サイズ　１０００円　中　サイズ　１１００円まで値切りました。(*゜▽゜*) and finally, I got it to: 1000yen for a small bag, and 1100yen for a medium size.

ちなみに私の小タイプは　７００円　に値切りました。（お土産や泣かせかもしれません。。。）

(T▽T) I was able to get my smallest type to be 700yen (hopefully the shop owner is not crying too much...)

私はウブドのスパに行きたかったので、市場で友人のかごを値切ったあと別れて自由行動にしました。I wanted to go to a Spa in Ubud, so after bartering these goods for my friend, we took our own routes.

言葉がわからなくても、「電卓」で交渉ＯＫですよ。There's not much linguistic stuff going on; just grab a calculator & start bartering.

baliでお食事

皆さんご存じのとおり、バリは物価がとても安いです。As many may already know, Bali's prices of commodities are very low.

ここに来ると一万円もっていると、とてもお金持ちになった気分です。10 thousand yen here, will make you feel very rich.

お食事は100円でもイケます。Σ(°Д°；Meals at a dollar can really be made to happen.

今回はバリ初めての友人も同行なので、あまり安すぎるところは避けましたが。。。
I did have a first-time@bali friend with me, so I didn't go to the REALLY cheap places but...

「マデス　ワルン」の焼き飯（ナシゴレン　１８０円とカレー　３００円）　アイステイ－は４０円
Nasi Goren (fried rice) for under $2 and curry for $3, Ice tea at 40cents at "Mades Walun"
カレーはグリーンカレーで、ココナッツの風味が最高でした。友人は味に超感動して、
The curry was Green Curry with the hint of coconut seasoning; my friend loved it.
あまり食べれないかも。。と言っていたのに残さず全部平らげていました。。。(　ＴДＴ)　いやしく残りをもらおうと思っていたのにいい。。。Regardless of the preceding "I'm not that hungry" comment, she had left very little crumbs on the plate; and I had been hoping for leftovers...

ワルン９６にて　　　窯焼きピザ　２８０円　（普通の大きさです）とパスタ　２９０円
Walun96: Oven-baked pizza $2.80 (reg. size)&pasta $2.90

今回一番目値？の張った　ウブドのカキアンベーカリーのランチセット
The "priciest" meal of the day: Lunch set at Kakian Bakery in Ubud

ナシゴレンとアイスコーヒーor ティー　、ソトアヤム（具だくさんスープ）　そしてなんと
Nasi Goren, ice coffee/tea, Soto-ayam

デザートに
ミ二ケーキが３っつ！！！
& 3 large cakes for dessert!!

味は保証します。日本の味です。ウブドでは珍しく冷房の利いた室内です。（普通はオープンエア）セットで６９０円でした。←全部で
Satisfaction Guaranteed. Suites Japanese taste, and unlike many open-air restaurants, it has air conditioning! $6.90, for the whole set!

baliのホテル

泊ったホテルはレギャンビーチホテルです。The hotel we stayed at is the Legion Beach Hotel.

ランクは下の方（安いので）と聞いていましたがなかなか素敵！キレイだし　
清潔だし、びっくりしたことに
お部屋の中に「蚊」がいない！（いつも安いロスメンだったので、蚊取線香は必需品でした）I was told it would be a lower rank (considering the low price), but it was great! It was clean, neat, and to my surprise... NO MOSQUITOES! (on previous Balinese vacations, mosquito repellent had been absolutely necessary).

私はこれで充分大満足でした。I was completely happy with what I got.

バリより帰国しました。

皆様、留守中にもかかわらず、ご訪問＆コメントありがとうございました。

Thank you all for coming by, even while I was away :)

バリは1年半ぶりでしたが、、空港に降り立つと「バリの匂い」っていうのがありまして、その匂いで、「バリにキタア～」と気分が盛り上がります。（たぶんお香のにおいではないかと思われます。。。）It'sbeen a year&a half since I was last in Bali, but as soon as I got into their airport I caught the "sent of Bali" and with that, I knew I had finally arrived. (Most likely the smell of incense).

今回はガルーダインドネシア航空利用でしたので、ついたその日から行動ができます。（ＪＡＬは夜中着なので、ついたら寝るだけ。。。(*´д｀)=з）I had used Galuda Indonesia Airlines this trip, so we were able to go out as soon as we arrived (using JAL, we get there at night so there's not much to do but sleep...).

機内食の「魚」のほうはシーフードドリアで、お味の方もなかなか。。。到着間際はアイスクリームが出ます。The "fish" meal was seafood doria; and not bad... Ice cream is served shortly prior to arrival.
