初めてのバンコック エメラルド寺院 編
ワット プラケオ エメラルド寺院 （エメラルドではなく、ヒスイの仏陀が祭られている最高に格式の高い寺院）
Wat Plakeo Emerald Temple (The Buddha not made of emerald really, but of green Jade, and the temple is of highest rank.)中は撮影禁止ですが外からは写せます。年３回衣替えがあって、今は雨季のご衣裳。
Photography is prohibited, but you are allowed to take pictures as much as you like from outside. The Emerald Buddha changes clothing three times a year, and right now, is wearing the "Rain-season" garments.
ガイドさんが言うには何でも願い事をかなえてくれるそうなので、いつものように沢山願い事をしてまいりました。
According to the guide, it will grant ANY wish, so as usual, we went and made a load ful ;)

きんきらきん でとってもきれいですが反射して  とにかく暑い〜。
Beautifully gold! Just wonderful, truely, just that it reflects so much light, it gets terribly hot...

バンコック お買いもの編
ちょうど週末にあたったのでチャトチャック ウイークエンドマーケットに行ってきました。
地下鉄とスカイトレインを乗り継いで。両方とも外国人観光客でも分かりやすく、快適な乗りごこちです。
It was just about weekend, when is the only time the "weekend market" at Chatchik. Riding the subway and sky-train, it wasn't that hard to find with many tourists (and locals, too) heading in the same direction.
一番テンションあがったのはなんとペットコーナー     ここでは抱っこすることができる！！（店のポリシーによってだけど。。。ネコやリスもいるよん）
台湾も韓国も写真さえ撮ることを許されないのに
ふわふわで 超 かわいい〜〜〜(≧▽≦)子犬も抱っこされるとおとなしくなり、満足げ。The climax of the day (at least for us) was @ the pet corner--- all-u-can-touch, at least in some stores... Pet stores in neither Taiwan or Korea allowed photography but this store didn't seem to mind. Cute and fluffy, these guys become quiet when picked up, looking quite satisfied :)
スカイトレインの一日乗車券です。夕方は観光客だらけになります。The sky-train one-day ticket. By evening the trains are crammed with tourists.
とっても広くて店舗数も多く、「今日は一日中買い物だあ！」と勢い付けてやって来たものの。。。疲れちゃって半日で、ギブアップしました。。 Very large in area w/ hundreds of shops, we meant to spend the whole day shopping until we drop dead--- turns out we dropped out in just half.(lol
お気に入りが見つかれば上手に交渉して。。。納得いく値段で買えれば大成功！  Found one that calls to you? Let the bartering begin 'till the price is right!
のどが乾いたらしぼりたてのミカンジュース ２０バーツ（６０円＊１０バーツのところもありました。味はおなじだった）とにかく暑いので、水分補給は重要です。午後になるとますます暑くなり、さらに人の数も増えてきたので、場所を移動することにしました。
Quench your thirst with freshly squeezed mandrin orange-juice for 20 bahts/60¢ (there was one pkace for 10 bahts & tasted the same too). Never the less, its deathly hot, so you've got to hydrate yourself. By the afternoon, the crowd's gotten bigger and the place, hotter, so we've decided to hit the road.

初めてのバンコック お食事編 １ (Food♪)
タイ料理はいまでは日本でもおなじみですね。
はじめは香草がだめだったけど今では大好きに。
激辛は今でも苦手だけど、虫以外ならだいたい食べれます。。 Thai food has become really popular in Japan too now; I couldb't take the spices at first, but now, I can eat pretty much anything (even some spicy stuff), as long as they aren't 1hings like roasted bugs....
朝食のフルーツコーナーに毎日出ていた見慣れないもの。。。
「龍眼」 ロンガン
じゃがいも？かと思っちゃった。(ﾉ∀｀*)ﾍﾟﾁｮﾝ Something new in the fruits corner at breakfast--- Longhan or "Dragon eyes" that taste like lychee. I first thought they were potatoes on trees. (lol
理由は皮をむいてみて何となく納得。お味はまるでライチ、甘くておいしい。
毎朝こればっか食べてました。
なるほど眼にみえる。。。どお？
Peeling them open, we understand: they do look like dragon eyes (?) right? We ate tons of these anyway, really sweet and juicy :)
ツアーのランチは期待していなかっただけに、びっくりするほど美味しかった。（Tong Tara hotel にて)
タイ料理のブッフェでしたが、ココナッツグリーンカレーや、大海老たっぷりのトムヤンクンに大満足。このツアーは絶対いい！元はしっかり取れますよ。 Lunch that came with the tour was unexpectedly delicious. Thai buffet at the Tong Tara Hotel with coconut green curry, Tom-Yang-Khun w/giant shrimps... It was worth it, and more!
ガイドさんが勧めてくれたタイ風ラーメンは娘が気に行って３杯も食べていました。もち米がデザートコーナーに並んでいるのですが、グリーンカレーにもよく合います。タイのお米はチャーハンには向きますが、日本のご飯好きの私にはちょっと。。。 ( ＴДＴ)
The Thai saimin our guide suggested was great, my daughter ate 3 bowls! Theres sticky rice in the desert corner, but it goes best with the green curry; the regular rice is ok for fried rice, but for Japanese rice lovers(like me)...
あっさりしたスープなので、腹ぺこさんならお代わり２−３杯はイケます。（＾ヮ＾）/
The soup is really light, so 2~3 bowls is a piece of cake ;)
大きな海老 ごろごろ入れてきました。トムヤンクンです。

初めてのバンコック ワットアルン編
せっかくなので バンコックのお寺めぐりツアーをお願いしちゃいました。一人２０００円でランチ付き。入場料もすべて入っているので、絶対お得です。（ツアー会社の回し者ぢやありませんよ＾） We decided to take the Bangkok's temple tour; just an additional 2000 yen including lunch and all the entrance fees, so it was a really good deal!
街の様子や注意事項もガイドさんから吸収しておかないと。。。（ガイドさんはサクダさんといっておねえ系でとっても面白かった〜 ）You can also attain loads of useful information from your tour guide. Our guide, Mr. Sakuda, was just wonderfully fun, very charming, and well.... quite feminin ;)
ワットアルン（暁の寺）Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn)
３バーツ（９円）の料金払って船に乗って移動。。。（入船＆入場料等は込み）タイで船に乗れるなんて。。。すぐ着くので、船酔いさんでも大丈夫 3bahts ferry fee (about 9 yen), paid through the tour fare of course (as well as entrance fee), and we headed for the temple by river. Never thought we'd be riding a boat in Thai! A super short ride though, few minutes at most, so even those worried about sea-sickness have nothing to fear :)
調子に乗って階段を上ったけど”すごく急な階段”で高所恐怖症でない私達もビビったAnd the stairs!... We barely made it UP the stairs ---- steep they were, indeed!--- but going DOWN... I'd never seen myself as one afraid of hights, but it was a heart-stopper, even for me...
怖くて手すりを「むぎゅっ」と、つかみ続けたもんだから、翌日は足だけでなく腕までも筋肉痛になってしまった。。。階段の幅も狭い〜。Not only my legs, but my ARMs as well were sore from clinging to the rails too strongly... The stairs are very narrow too.
上からの眺めはきれい〜と言ってる場合ぢゃない。。降りることばかり考えていた。Beautiful, undoubtably yes, but if you're still up there, the trip down yet to come? You've got more demanding issues to think about....
金粉紙ををこの仏像の「自分の良くなりたいところ」に張り付けるのだそうです。
沢山必要だあ〜〜 Small&thin sheets of gold are rubbed on to parts of the Buddha's body identical to where you have problems (back-pain, near-sightedness, etc.--- The guide's example: If your HEAD is not so good... )

初めてのバンコック ホテル編
泊ったホテルは セントリックラチャダーというエコノミーホテル
安いけど、広いし、清潔だし、何といっても新しい。
交通の便もよく、文句なし。
The hotel we stayed at, the Centric Rachada, was a neat economy class hotel; new, clean, and reasonable pricing :)

最低限のものはそろっています。ミネラルウォーターも毎日支給されます。
Pretty much everything you need; they even serve a free bottle of mineral water per person, everyday.
嬉しいのはテレビが大きくて、毎日大好きなＭＴＶ（もどき）が見れるので、タイムリーなＨＩＰＨＯＰやＲ＆Ｂをに映像つきで楽しめたど〜。 貧乏人はホテルの部屋でもゆっくりできない。。。？(*´д｀)=з Even better news: the TV screen was BIG♪ so we could watch an MTV-ish hip hop/R&B music broadcasting program with quite recent hits.
ビュッフェ形式の朝食付なので楽チンです。 Buffet style breakfast comes with the tour so much less morning hassles :)

バンコクの事を色々語るには初心者の私にはおこがましいのですが、楽しかった思い出を、写真とともにのらりくらりとご報告させて頂きます。
It was my first trip to Thailand, but I can see why travelers often want to go back. It was so much fun!
But after all, it was only my first time so I probably haven't even got to see half of the wonders, yet I'd like to post a few good memories with pictures, just the same :)
飛行機は安いツアーでしたので、チャイナエアラインで、台北乗継便でしたが、「離陸好き」
の私には２倍楽しめる最高のツアーでした。
We took the cheapest tour there was, which was with China Airlines, including a transmittion at Taiwan (which was just great for me; I love the plane's "lift-off" sensation, I got to enjoy it twice!)
飛行機でお尻が痛くなった頃にストレッチも出来るし〜〜〜(o≧д≦)ノ
You also get a chance to stretch, just as your body starts to get stiff...
機内食は台湾の時にもでたチョコレートケーキが。。。（＾ヮ＾）/
and during the flight... the same lovely chocolate cake from Taiwan!
沖縄あたり？の上空を飛んで。。。Somewhere off the shores of Okinawa, I guess?...
たぶんカンボジアあたりの上空。。。Over Cambodia.... I think...(the river swerves A LOT!)
窓の外も楽しいし、映画も面白いので、うかうか寝ていられません。。。（まるで子供です。）
ついにバンコックへ
There's so much to do; scenes out the window, in-flight movies to watch... and we're not even there yet!
And finally, arrival in Bangkok~

暑い〜海行きたい〜きれいな海に飛び込みた〜〜い！
一番近い湘南でもここからは遠い〜〜混んでる〜〜汚いし〜〜
昨日ＴＶでやっていたけどなんで？砂浜を汚して平気な顔して帰ってゆくんでしょうね！(｀Д´)
ガラスの破片やビニール袋や空き缶とか煙草の吸殻とか。。。？？
ハワイのビーチがきれいなのはポイ捨てで、罰金を取るからかなあ？日本もそうすればいいのに。
あとは派遣切りで失業した人をビーチ清掃員として大量に雇ったらいいのに。。。
きょうは秘密のお気に入りのビーチの写真をご紹介。。。（いまは場所は秘密にさせてネ。。）
ここはゆっくり昼寝したり、本読んだり身体を休めたい時に行きます。芝生があって人が少なくて本当にきれい。海の家なんてありませんが、シャワーや水洗トイレもきちんと完備！ちかくに素敵なホテルがあるので、必要なものがある時は、（いつも食料は持参ですが、急にもっと何か食べたくなった、予想以上にのどが渇いたなど。）そこまで歩いて買いにいったり。。。
ここでは沈む夕日が海に落ちて行くのが見れます。イルカの群れがジャンプしたり、海ガメがのそ〜〜っと泳いでいたりと目を凝らせば色んな物が見れます。

Here's a picture of one of our favorite secret beaches! (sorry, it's got to be secret for now ;p)
A great place to read a good novel, take short naps, and when you run out of things to do, just take a dip! Water's nice and fresh, the sand's warm... as you can see, there's also a little bit of green and shade under the trees.
Nothing fancy; just a few cool showers and a bathroom for your convenience. There's also a nice resort hotel nearby if you really need anything, but we usually bring our own little lunch pack....
The sunset is always a cannot-miss (even on cloudy days!), and if you look good enough, some dolphins can be seen jumpping in the distance, turtle swimming silently in the bay...
I guess there really is no time for napping! :)

お腹も最高に減ってくる時間です。家までお腹が持たない?ので、たいていカリフォルニアピザキッチン
に駆け込みます。
退治用に肉食のマングースを大量に外部から持ってきたんですが、この作戦は失敗に終わり、マングースも野ねずみもお互い大量にハワイに生息しています。。。
