ヴェノム 毒蛇男の恐怖
９日(土) は映画『ヴェノム 毒蛇男の恐怖』(2005) を観ました。
米南部ルイジアナ州，ブードゥー教の伝統が色濃く残る片田舎。
この町に暮らす女性イーデン(アグネス･ブルックナー)は，ある夜，町はずれの橋の上で恋人エリック(ジョナサン･ジャクソン)と口論となった。
その最中，彼らの車を避けようとしたトラックが対向車と衝突，トラック運転手のレイ(リック･クレイマー)と車に乗っていた老女が共に死亡してしまう。
実はその老女はブードゥーの呪術師で，車に積んだスーツケースの中には人々の悪意を封じ込めた蛇が詰め込まれていた。
事故の衝撃で逃げ出した蛇は近くにいたレイに憑依し，彼の死体は悪霊となって蘇る。
死体置き場から逃げ出した悪霊は，やがてイーデンたち若者グループを次々と襲い始め……。
結構怖い映画でした。
事故で命を落としたほおに傷のある男レイが，悪意を封印した蛇の呪いによって“毒蛇男”として蘇り，悪霊と化した男となって，次々と若者たちを手にかけていくという残虐ホラーです。
